Mischa Barton Forgot Her Lines And to Pay The Rent?

(HMG) – Still seemingly having trouble getting her sh*t together, Mischa Barton is in the news again, and now faces a lawsuit basically saying she’s been a deadbeat renter. Filed Thursday, the suit by M.R.A. Realties Inc. alleges the former O.C. star owes approximately three months back rent on an apartment she is leasing in New York City’s trendy Tribeca neighborhood. Mischa rented out the $7,000-a-month luxury pad in the Big Apple on a one-year lease in September. She had planned to stay in the city (she has a home in LA) while filming her now-defunct CW series The Beautiful Life, but has had trouble paying her rent since the show was axed by the network last fall.  M.R.A. is now demanding all the back rent be paid, plus the company’s legal fees.

The troubled 23-year-old actress has been gainfully employed this week in NY filming a guest role as a hooker on Law & Order: SVU. But according to the New York Daily News, she has been continually forgetting lines while filming a scene with Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay. Also according to the Daily News perhaps not unrelated to her forgetting her lines, Micsha is still partying like a rock star hitting the clubs in NY, which they point out might not be the best idea for her. Especially since Barton has had some well-publicized struggles since her O.C. glory days, including a DUI bust and a recent meltdown that led to her being hospitalized on an involuntary psychiatric hold. A very hard working rep for Barton declined to comment on the lawsuit, but did refute the Daily News report, saying of her time spent on SVU, “all’s gone off without a hitch.”
