Baywatch star, David Hasselhoff scores new reality show

[HMG] – Stop me if you’d heard this one: Guy gets canned from a national TV show because they think he’s a disconsolate drunk. He and his people flatly deny it. Six months later his daughter has to call 911 – again – because her half-naked dad’s pie-eyed on the floor snorting Big Macs…

Yeah, you’re right — never happen…In other news, David Hasselhoff has just scored his own show.

A&E has announced it just signed the ex-Baywatch hunk to create ten half-hour shows following the 57-year old actor as he tries to manage his own acting career and guide his two teenage daughters through the minefield of becoming professional singers.

Nineteen-year old Taylor Ann is currently studying communications at the University of Arizona, while younger daughter Hayley, 17, is a model for the fashion line ‘Torrid.’ But both long for the limelight, and the Hoff has now made it his mission to help them reach for their dream;

“It’s the dream of every parent to be able to help their children succeed,” Hoff told Reuters. “I told the girls I would help them open the door, but they would have to walk through it alone. This is their time.”

And by the merest chance, the new show is made by Fremantle Media — the same guys who make ‘Idol’…Handy, huh?

There’s no date for the new show to debut, but the man is not rightly known for his shyness, so you can be sure we’ll be kept well informed of the progress…
