Michael C. Hall(HMG) – If you hadn’t caught our post from a few days ago, you might not know why actor Michael C. Hall accepted his first Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor In a Television Series, for his role as a serial killer on “Dexter.”

Michael is reportedly in complete remission but is continuing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is characterized by the orderly spread of disease from one lymph node group to another and by the development of systemic symptoms with advanced disease.

“I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with treatable and curable condition,” said Hall, a couple of days ago. “I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care.”

He did not mention his illness during his acceptance speech. Whether the skull cap means Hall who is 38-year-old has temporarily lost his hair as part of his treatment is speculative.  But we are just delighted to hear he is in complete remission. The survival rate for Hodgkin’s lymphoma is generally 90% or higher when the disease is detected during early stages, making it one of the more curable forms of cancer. It is most likely to be diagnosed in people in their 20s or 30s, becoming less common in middle age and more common again after 60.
