Lady Gaga skips show over heart-rate concerns

ladygaga[HMG] – Six thousand hardcore Lady Gaga fans packed the Indian’s ‘Edward C. Elliott’ hall to the rafters last night to share time with their idol – but at the last minute they were told the show can’t go on.

To begin the evening, the sell-out crowd were treated to the musical stylings of ‘Semi Precious Weapons’ and Jason DeRulo. But when the star was about to appear, it all fell apart – A police officer appeared on the stage and announced Gaga had been advised by paramedics that she could not perform.

On her Twitter feed, the 23-year old award-winning singer seemed genuinely depressed after failing her fans;

Paramedics said my heart-rate was irregular – a result of exhaustion and dehydration,” she tweeted. “Can’t apologize enough…I am so upset. I’ve performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat; I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.”

She then told her feathery followers she’d felt dizzy and had trouble breathing all day, and that paramedics only warned her about her heart-rate right before her part of the show.

Despite deep and widespread disappointment, fans seemed okay about losing the chance to spend time with the Lady;

“I was angry, but the paramedics said she shouldn’t go on, so it’s obviously not just a cold,” said Kim Kelley, who drove from Terre Haute just for the show.

“I was really surprised,” fellow fan, Sameeksha Jampani told WLFI. “When they first came out I thought they were joking, but these things happen.”

The concert has now been rescheduled for January 26th. If you or your friends have tickets from the no-show, they’ll be honored at the sequel — assuming Gaga can play. If you don’t,  you might want to check eBay…
