Wife seemed to ignore Charlie Sheen’s bad boy past but prosecutors might not

(HMG) – Police released audio of the 911 call three days after Charlie Sheen was arrested on suspicion of menacing, second-degree assault and criminal mischief. In the emergency call, a woman who identifies herself as his wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, 32, can be heard weeping and sometimes her words are inaudible. At one point she alleges: “My husband had me with a knife and he threatened me.” Later she says: “I thought I was gonna die for one hour.”

She said the knife was a switchblade. She also told an operator her family was in the house and that her husband was by then in another room, a bathroom, where someone was talking to him. According to the police document, during the attack, Sheen said: “You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I’ll kill you.

“I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won’t leave any trace.”

Sheen’s previous domestic violence case more than a decade ago in Los Angeles could become a factor if Colorado prosecutors file charges against the actor. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of battery with serious bodily injury for a 1996 incident involving his then-girlfriend, Brittany Ashland. He was accused of knocking her to the floor, leaving her bloodied and briefly unconscious. He was sentenced to two years’ probation with a suspended one-year jail term and 300 hours of community service.

This isn’t meant to bash a victim, but you have to wonder sometimes about people who go into a relationship completely ignoring or denying their mate’s past. Seven months before Mueller’s hysterical 911 call to report her firsthand take on the actor’s bad behavior, Mueller laughed off Sheen’s past.

“It’s hysterical to me that he has this reputation,” Mueller told In Touch Weekly. “Charlie is just amazing.”

That’s quite the blind-eye, considering the highlights include, Denise Richards filing for divorce while pregnant, past battery charges, an accidental gunshot wound to short-term fiancée Kelly Preston, and a $50,000 call-girl tab,  just to name a few.
