Russell Brand and Katy Perry reportedly engaged

[HMG] – In a romantic connection that is beginning to rival Lindsay Lohan’s countless flings for self-serving hype, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are supposedly now officially engaged after a hi-speed romance.

Only together since early October, sources say Russell, 35, a notorious ladies’ man, asked 25-year old Katy to marry him during her visit to London to share her holiday season with the hirsute British star.

“They don’t yet know when the wedding will be,” a source tells OK. “But they are planning to make it in 2010 if their schedules can work.”

The pair are said to have spent several days in seclusion in London, before Katy flew back to the States for Christmas Day with her folks.

Their next date together is due New Year’s Eve — which gives Russ ample time to find a really big ring to keep Katie happy, and also create more attention for their pointless careers and the huge train-wreck they’ll cause if they actually wed.
