Charlie Sheen’s Domestic Dispute Weapon was a Knife and Other New Tidbits

(HMG) – After some terrific PR work by Charlie Sheen’s legal team, I was starting to believe that the assault charges against him may have been overblown.  But new reports coming from multiple sources indicate that there was a weapon brandished in Sheen’s domestic dispute, and was the reason for the felony menacing charges, he faces.  During the domestic dispute between the Two and a Half Men star and wife Brooke Mueller, Sheen allegedly threatened his new wife and mother of his twin sons with a knife in the living room of her Aspen rental home.  When police arrived on the scene, they allegedly saw marks on Mueller’s body, though it has not been confirmed if they are related to the weapon, according to TMZ.

People Magazine had some interesting tidbits to add to the story, which you have to filter carefully because while they are good about not exaggerating or fabricating things, they tend to get most their info from spokespeople who tend to try to spin stories like this to protect their clients.   Anyway People reports that before the big domestic dispute: “they were fighting at a dinner in a friend’s house and it continued until the next morning,” according to a source close to Mueller.  They go on to say that despite the fact that Sheen reportedly pulled a knife during the fight (they don’t mention any knife), their source says they will seek counseling together. “Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand.” “Both he and Brooke will undergo counseling and Charlie will get anger management counseling.”

Well it seems confirmed by police reports that they were drinking.  Where People magazine really diverges from other reports is that they don’t think a divorce is eminent since they are seeking counseling and because they claim the couple had not been separated in the weeks leading up to the Christmas morning 911 call.  Is their source correct, or were they getting fed BS as damage control for Sheen remains to be seen.
