Susan Sarandon dating 31-year-old business partner?

(HMG) – Well now with the news that Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, until now one of Hollywood’s rare enduring couples, have called it quits, speculation immediately turns to is there some secret romance we don’t know about.  A couple of media sources Gawker and Page Six have a source claiming that Susan Sarandon may have traded in Robbins, 51, for a younger model: 31-year-old entrepreneur Jonathan Bricklin. Sarandon’s sons with Robbins by the way are 20 and 17.

Bricklin is co-owner of Susan Sarandon’s new hip ping pong club/bar chain ‘Spin’. Sarandon met Bricklin at his Tribeca loft where the semi-pro ping pong stud used to throw “naked ping pong parties.” Besides the ping pong bond, Bricklin is now dabbling as a filmmaker after shooting a documentary about his father, the founder of Subaru of America.

Sarandon denies any relationship other then business via her spokesperson who tells ABC News:

“The rumors are absolutely untrue,” Cannaday told ABCNews.com. “Susan’s relationship with Jonathan Bricklin is strictly a business one.”

I never totally discount these stories just because a spokesperson is told to deny it, but what do you think?  Did the media pair these two up circumstantially because Sarandon just announced her separation from Robbins?
