[HMG] – Domestic diva, Martha Stewart is facing a major threat to her already damaged career from a tell-all book written by her former best friend.

The friend, Mariana Pasternak, has penned what is being hyped as a ‘withering exposé,’ revealing all of Martha’s deepest, dark secrets, including lesbian dates, the frequent attacks she faced whilst in prison for stock fraud in 2004, and her endless temper tantrums…that are made worse by drink.

“Martha has good reason to panic about the book – Mariana knows everything,” says an insider. “Martha’s even called her in tears, screaming at her and asking why she would do this. She doesn’t know what’s been written, but Mariana knows all her secrets and the book is sure to spill them.”

One alleged ‘secret’ the 68-year old diva is afraid will come out is that she cheated on her ex-fiance, Charles Simonyi.

“Martha is under great pressure, worrying about what the book will reveal,” says a friend of the pair. “She even collapsed on her bed once, crying – wondering how badly her reputation will suffer.”

The pair, who still live close to each other in Westport, Connecticut were close friends for more than twenty years. They talked on the phone every day and even shared vacations together. But Mariana testified against Martha at her trial and her evidence got Martha some time in a federal prison. Since then, Stewart has never forgiven her former best friend.

“Martha considered Mariana a turncoat – Someone who said whatever the prosecutors wanted,” the pal has told The Enquirer. “Now she feels Mariana’s has betrayed her a second time by writing this book.”

The book is entitled, ‘The Best of Friends: Martha and Me.’ and is due out in March. But if you loathe Ms. Stewart as much as I do, you might want to order one now…
