Brittany Murphy has mysteriously died at age 32
(HMG) – Actress Brittany Murphy has died suddenly at the age of 32, in her Los Angeles home this morning. According to reports, the ‘Clueless’ star was discovered unconscious in the shower at around 8 am by her mother, who made the call to emergency services. When paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR, but were unable to revive her, reports TMZ. Early reports are a heart attack but you know there’s going to be a great deal of speculation as to what caused her heart to fail. We know of the whispers earlier in her career but lets just let it be for now. More details to come. Murphy famously starred in the popular movie “Clueless, ” but had quite a prolific career for one so young including being the voice of Luanne Platter on King of the Hill, and appearing in 8 Mile, Riding in the Car with Boys, Freeway, Girl Interrupted, Uptown Girls, and Sin City. Our thoughts go out to her loved ones including her screenwriter husband Simon Monjack this shocking and difficult time.
This is such a horrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. What a terrible loss and right before the holidays too. This sounds a lot like Karen Carpenter’s death. She also died of cardiac arrest at 32 and was found by her mother. Brittany looked a little on the thin side and there is so much pressure on Hollywood actresses to be super thin, I can’t help but wonder if an eating disorder was also to blame.
