Kate Hudson celebrates Nine without A-Rod

[HMG] – Still exploiting the break-up with Alex Rodriguez which her own needy attitude is said to have caused, Kate Hudson found a new shoulder to cry on last night – Madonna.

While celebrating the premiere of her new movie, ‘Nine’ at the ‘M2′ club in Chelsea last night, Kate, 30, was seen chatting to the material maven, and we don’t need to guess what they were talking about. She also flew her mom, Goldie Hawn, in from LA to help her make sure Alex got all the blame.

“It was her big premiere, and she was upset Alex wasn’t there to support her,” an enabling witness told the scribes at Page Six. “When the cameras were on her, she was all smiles. But privately you could see she had her heart broken.”

Well, if she’d treated A-Rod as a friend and not merely a grandstand, there would not be a problem. But apparently there may be some risk of reunion;

“They had a huge fight in London and Alex flew to Miami to hang out with friends. But he and Kate have now started talking on the phone. She hopes they can work things out, but they’re both very stubborn.”

Yes, I’ll just bet she’s got hopes.

Meanwhile, back at the New York premiere her friends proved no use at all; Both Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer tried to show some support, but couldn’t be bothered to walk through a crowd, so they slipped out the back door into a waiting SUV, specially constructed to house such vast egos.

Also seen at the party were co-stars Penelope Cruz and her boyfriend Javier Bardem, plus Daniel Day-Lewis and Fergie – who brought her husband, Josh Duhamel, thereby disowning a stripper’s recent claims of a one-night stand with the actor. “They looked very affectionate all night,” said a spy.

So, let’s see how that tallies – The giant ball of crazy is still in full flow, Tobey’s a wuss and the stripper was lying.
