Uma Thurman’s rich ex BF a control freak?

[HMG] – Many people have been keen to debate why Uma Thurman ended her bond with billionaire, Arpad Busson. Well, one reason seems to have been Uma’s lack of control.

“It seemed like he always wanted to run the show,” a close pal told the Daily News. “He wanted to bring in his own chef and security team; He’d talk about redesigning her house in the city and knocking down buildings at her place upstate.” we are told.

Friends also say a big reason they split was the children; Arpi lives mostly in London to be close to his son, while Uma wants her children to stay in New York to be close to their dad — Ethan Hawke.

Whatever the motive, the 39-year old actress was spied all alone in New York yesterday, looking drab and downcast after the end of the romance. Dressed in a mismatch of colors, without one hint of make-up or that eight-carat ring, she and her seven-year old son, Levon ignored several reporters as they ran errands in town.

A close friend told the Daily News dudes that Uma returned the jaw-dropping rock to Arpi, along with the rest of the gear he had stored at her place. The Frenchman is said to be ‘beside himself’ with grief at the break-up, but the two remain friends.

Some of the far less intellectual blogs had suggested that Robert Pattinson — Uma’s co-star in her upcoming movie, ‘Bel Ami’ – was behind their big split. But as they’re not even due to start filming the movie until Spring of next year, Uma’s people have decried any such rumor as laughably false;

‘That is actually funny,” said one rep. “Uma hasn’t even been in the same room as Rob yet!’

So the boyfriend’s gone bye-bye and so has the rock, and young Edward Cullen is not even in play. Where do you think Uma can go from here on?…
