Court Takes Legal Guardianship of Daughter From Courtney Love

(HMG) – A new report says Courtney Love no longer has legal control of her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, from the singer’s marriage to late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The guardians appointed by the court for the 17-year-old Frances, are Wendy O’Connor, Kurt Cobain’s mom, and Kimberly Dawn Cobain, Kurt’s sister. The guardianship is for both Frances Bean personally and her financial well-being.
This isn’t the first time Courtney has been legally separated from her daughter. Frances had been present during Love’s overdose and subsequent arrest on drug charges in October 2003. A Los Angeles juvenile court judge ordered reunification of the mother and daughter, after a 15-month legal battle. No specific reasons are known yet as the court records are sealed, but TMZ says the guardianship was established after a fairly long period of unstable conduct by Courtney Love. I think it’s been evident for sometime that Courtney is way off her rocker, but for a judge to take this action when her daughter is less than a year a way from 18, may speak volumes to the seriousness of her lack of stability.
