James Van Der Beek unveils new lady-friend

[HMG] – After discarding his wife of six years, Heather McComb, former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek seems to have found a new love in his life.

The 32-year old actor was spied with his new friend, Kimberly Brook at ‘Summit on the Summit’ a West Hollywood bash designed to promote a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro that’s scheduled to happen next month, to raise awareness of the global clean-water crisis.

James and his soon-to-be ex [whom he met when her sister got a bit-part on the show,] started divorce proceedings during the Summer, and onlookers say Kim – who’s a professional model – seems more than ready to fill in the breach.

“They didn’t leave each others side all night,” one partygoer told People.

The pair have also been spied sharing dinner at the exclusive Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard. There’s no jewelry yet, but friends say that’s one of the plans.

As for ‘Summit on the Summit,’ it’s a crazy idea; On January 7, a group of celebs including Jessica Biel and Lupe Fiaso will strap on some spikes [and several sweaters] and attempt to climb the whole 19,340ft of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa; tweeting and posting live video clips as they go.
