Court bans Jon Gosselin from further public paydays until trial with TLC ends

JonGosselin[1][HMG] – After a contentious and entirely self-inflicted court action, Jon Gosselin has now been banned from making any more cash on the side with new public appearances not meant for his show.

A Maryland Judge today agreed with Jon’s bosses at TLC, that the 32-year old multiple-dad’s endless, and entirely unauthorized media blitz was in breach of his contract, and handed down an injunction that stops Jon making any further appearance until he and his TLC bosses get this long-running spat to a trial.

And the gavel had no sooner fallen than TLC put out a response, positively crowing at the scale of their win;

“The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a binding contract, and that he breached it repeatedly,” it reads.

And the channel are clearly nowhere near done with him yet; “We look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin’s numerous breaches,” the press statement explains.

While Jon did not appear at the hearing himself, his attorney, Mark Heller told CNN that the TLC suit is “baseless,” and strongly denied his client had even done anything wrong.

But Edward Sabin, one of TLC’s primary suits, told the court that Jon’s behavior was “embarrassing,” and that one appearance at a Las Vegas pool party left the cable network exposed to significant scorn;

“Jon surrounded by scores of bikini-clad women is inconsistent with the image of our show,” he explained.

The full trial is now scheduled for April 19. And just watch TLC try to repackage this whole, sordid mess as a show…
