John Mayer hopes for less tabloid coverage as he’s now linked to Rashida Jones

(HMG) – John Mayer, has enjoyed a string of high profile romances with Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt, but says he’s relieved he’s released another album, because he doesn’t want the press to focus solely on his dating exploits.
Mayer claims he is sick of seeing his face on magazine covers, and he’s glad his upcoming ‘Battle Studies’ will give him a new reason to grace the tabloid columns, and says:
“I really worried about the overexposure of my face and life, and was concerned if my music would still affect people. I’ve never liked that image. In terms of the real me, the one who plays music and the other one on covers of magazines, well one of those things comes from me and another comes from other people. It’s nice to have full ownership of me again. I now know that I should never worry about it again. I can’t tell you the weight that’s been lifted off my shoulder.”
Ironically Mayer is front an center today, in a new NY Post Page Six mention, linking him to Rashida Jones. The “Parks and Recreations” actress “deflected questions about the singer, with whom she’s been spotted around town since the end of October.”
