RomanPolanski[1](HMG) – After two months in a Zurich, Switzerland jail,  Roman Polanski will likely be released any time now after Swiss justice officials said they would immediately comply with a court’s ruling granting the Oscar-winning director bail.  After Polanski posts his $4.5 million bail, he will remain in the country and under house arrest with an under electronic monitor. But it will be a rather splendid captivity at Gstaad one of world’s most luxurious winter resorts,  in his $1.6 million chalet (photo below) with breathtaking mountain views.  The village of 2,500 has long been known as a celebrity hangout.  The Swiss are gambling Polanski isn’t a flight risk this time given to the bail amount, his family, and his age.

The 76-year-old Polanski, who holds dual French and Polish citizenship, is waiting extradition to the United States after pleading guilty to unlawful sex with a a 13-year-old, in 1977, after plying the girl with champagne and drugs.  Polanski served 42 days in a psychological testing facility at Chino State Prison, but fled to France 31 years ago following the evaluation period and before sentencing.
