Pete Doherty claims recent ER trip nearly killed him

[HMG] – As you may have head, former friend of Kate Moss and ex-Libertines front-man, Pete Doherty recently canceled some gigs, citing ‘exhaustion.’ But now the 30-year old hard-living rocker has claimed he was actually poisoned.
With his long-standing history of substance abuse, most fans suspected his claims might not tell the whole story, but Pete insists it was mostly the truth.
Talking to British reporters, Pete now says he fell ill at his home in the upscale English county of Wiltshire on October 12, and was ‘rushed’ to the Great Western Hospital in nearby Swindon.
‘It was a really strange thing,” he told the UK’s Daily Mail. “The Doctors’ immediately thought was it was drugs, but it was some kind of poisoning.”
The recovering addict also insists that the implant he recently had fitted to save him from further encounters with the despised Afghan dandruff had no part in causing this brush with bad health. But Pete has no clue what went down;
‘What happened? I don’t know??” he admits.“I thought I was a cab driver, offering to take everyone to south London. I was running into walls, making steering wheel moves with my hands…then I just stopped. My body just…stopped??”
Friends then had Pete rushed to a Brit-style ER where he mercifully recovered, but confusion returned…
‘I woke up and the doctors were asking ‘Do you know your name?’ I said ‘Yes, Peter.’ And they said, ‘Do you know where you are?’…I said, ‘Well…I’m in a hospital’…It was like [the BBC quiz show] 20 Questions!’
Doherty, who had a stormy two-year romance with supermodel, Kate Moss, was kept overnight for observation and tests, and got the green-light from Doctors the very next day. But he still feels bad about those three canceled gigs;
‘If I hadn’t been on life support, I’d have been in Ireland. But my heart stopped.’ he claims.
And that’s the man’s story. So who buys his claims?
