[HMG] Following the lead of Britney Spears and Madonna in their infamous 2003 MTV smooch, Adam Lambert’s brief lip-lock with a young man on Sunday has upset some sad people who just love being outraged.

27-year old Adam’s performance at Sunday’s ‘American Music Awards’ in which he faked sex with a dancer and kissed another man on the mouth has now gathered over 1,500 complaints from ABC viewers who don’t get out much.

The Parents Television Council, a lamentable clique of anal-retentives who apparently have no better use for their time than to dictate people’s free choices has since posted a statement on its web site, calling a show no-one forced them to watch both “tasteless” and “vulgar”.

“Our members were outraged.” says PTC’s President, Timothy Winter. “They can’t believe the content, the explicit nature and how much graphic content there was.”

Then why did they watch?

Adam, of course, is entirely untroubled by the vast swathe of free press his act has now caused, “I had fun, my dancers had fun, the audience had fun. Anybody else who enjoyed it, thank you for being entertained,” he told the BBC.

As for the twelve people who wrote all those complaints, Adam told the BBC scribes he regards such remarks as “a form of discrimination, and that’s too bad.”

But Adam will have to try harder if he really wants to get fame — Janet Jackson’s intentional ‘malfunction’ during Super Bowl half-time in 2004 still holds the record – 500,000 complaints in less than a week…
