Anne Hathaway tapped to join Spider Man 4?

[HMG] Rumors and gossip are the life-blood of sites such as this one, but the rumors surrounding Spider Man 4 are just getting stupid. Today, the word is that Anne Hathaway may be taking a bow.
Sony Pictures insists that no decision has yet been achieved, but well-informed sources say the 27-year old actress, best known for her roles in ‘Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is now first-in-line for the role of Black Cat.
Anne’s is no less than the fourth name to be pegged to that plum of a role, so Deadline reports. We told you recently that first off the blocks was Rachel McAdams, but she soon denied any chance that was true so the rumors moved on.
The next alleged contender was Romola Garai, then ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’s Julia Stiles. Romola refused to discuss which role she’d been offered, and Julia is still playing coy on whether she even tried out or not…which is typical thespian ego.
With Sam Raimi already signed on to direct and the film due to start shooting in L.A in March, the suits up at Sony don’t have much time to decide. And the three previous movies grossed $2.4-billion, so they have motivation.
