Tila Tequila seeks vengance on Shawn Merriman in civil court

Reality TV star Tila Tequila who is is 5’0″, 98 pounds, has filed suit against her ex-Shawn Merriman who is 6’4″, 265 pounds over allegations he attacked her. Police were called on Sept 6th, to the California home of San Diego Chargers star Merriman after Tequila dialed 911 and claimed she had been choked and prevented from leaving the property by the sports star. Merriman was taken into custody accused of battery and false imprisonment but he denied assaulting her, saying he was merely trying to keep a drunken and naked Tequila from leaving his home and denied harming her. After three days of extensive reviews of both the claims and the evidence, San Diego District Attorney, Bonnie Dumanis dismissed the case against Merriman saying there was insufficient evidence to prove beyond doubt that a crime was even committed.

The bitter a Singapore-born singer, model, and Reality TV star has now taken her complaint to civil courts, filing a lawsuit accusing the NFL star who was suspended for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy in 2006, of assault, battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress. Tequila’s civil suit alleges that Merriman has a drug problem and a temper that led him to rage against her, TMZ reported.   The suit also includes photo evidence of bruises which Tequila claims were inflicted by Merriman during the incident.
