Mischa Barton’s axed show gets Summer reprieve?

Posted on November 17th, 2009 by Austin

Mischa Bartons axed show gets Summer reprieve?[HMG] When the CW channel canceled ‘The Beautiful Life’ in September, many people assumed it was the end of Mischa Barton’s interrupted career. But it seems she may get a reprieve. The channel is now planning to air the lost shows;

“We have somewhat good news,” the posting on Facebook explained. “CW plans to air the remaining episodes next Summer.”

The bad news was, they have no current plans to restart production. “But that might change during this year,” read the post.

But don’t plan your days around the schedules just yet – the Facebook page is not owned by the network, so the postings were not made by them;

“The status of unaired episodes has yet to be determined,” CW’s official spokesman, Paul McGuire, told the NY Daily News.

As for TBL’s star, she appears to be finally beating the career-killing lure of that high-cost nose candy. Last weekend, Mischa, 23, was spied at a party at the Standard Hotel in L.A, looking less of a wreck than she has done in months;

“She was drinking in a corner with friends and staying well under the radar,” says one spy. “But she seemed in control, unlike the mess she looked like over the Summer,” we’re told.

And a source close to the London-born actress says Mischa’s already hopeful the new shows could help revive her career; “This is exactly the kind of news she needs,” the friend told reporters. “If the show does air next Summer, it’ll mean her efforts at a comeback weren’t completely wasted.”

No, but she was. No-one ran her career off the road but Mischa herself. If she can stay clean, it could still work out…But let’s just see what the Summer might bring…
