Jackie Onassis nude pictures facing auction

[HMG] In the now far-off Summer of ‘72, nude photos of John F. Kennedy’s widow, Jackie Onassis appeared in print and shocked half the world. Now, four decades later, the paparazzo who took them is coming clean on his tricks;
Secretly captured on the private Greek island of Skorpios, the photos show the 43-year old former first lady sunbathing nude and practicing yoga, and Settimio Garritano remembers it well,
“It didn’t seem possible,” he told the UK’s Daily Telegraph. “She knew she’d been photographed there before, so why display herself? I concentrated on just taking the pictures, not composing; It was a matter of moments, not even minutes,” he recalls.
Most editors who saw the tasteless results refused them outright and when they finally debuted in the Italian men’s magazine, ‘Playmen’ in 1972 they invoked an uproar across the US. But Jackie O’s husband was not even phased;
“Sometimes I take my clothes off to put on a bathing suit. So does my wife.” was the billionaire’s casual reply.
Garritano got the pictures by crouching in a boat that was hidden in bushes. Today, he is selling the rights to the photos at auction to make even more cash. There’s no news on bids yet, but if someone proves so boundlessly crass as to actually buy them we’ll let you know…
