Farrah Fawcett shuns Ryan O’Neal in final will
Since we lost Farrah Fawcett on June 25, speculation about her will and the motives of the people who circled around her in her final days has been rife. And now Farrah’s own will lays most doubts to rest.
In her last legal statement, People reports Farrah left $4.5 million to her son, Redmond, $500,000 to her nephew, Greg Walls, another $500,000 to her beloved father, James and $100,000 to an ex-lover, Greg Lott.
She left nothing to either her long-time partner, Ryan O’Neal, nor to the shameless collection of self-serving vultures who fought over their claims to her last documentary while someone they all called a friend was fading away.
Updated for the last time on August 9th of 2007, the will also reveals that the 62-year old Texan was denied one major wish — to spend her last days at, and die in her own home.
Written in bizarre legal-speak, paragraph 5.2[a] of the document reads, “The Settlor (Farrah) declares that she wishes to remain at home for as long as possible during any period of illness or incapacity, and to die at home.”
Ryan O’Neal is not mentioned at all. Nor is Alana Hamilton, who filmed most of the sad documentary which has been snared in legal wrangles over credits and cash since Farrah’s demise.
Since losing her battle with anal cancer, ex partner, Gregg Lott has been busily claiming to anyone with a camera who would listen that he was Farrah’s ‘secret boyfriend.’ He even gave an ‘exclusive’ interview to a British newspaper saying he last spoke to her on April 9, and that Ryan then banned him from seeing her again.
The former Charlie’s Angel star passed away at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica, California. Her son, Redmond is now completing his sentence in rehab and it remains to be seen what he’ll do with his mom’s parting gift…
