DJ AM’s Mother Adds Wrongful Death To Existing Lawsuit

DJ AM’s mother has filed a wrongful death suit against Learjet, the company responsible for the plane that crashed, leaving DJ AM and Blink 182’s Travis Barker severely burned.
DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, died a few months later. The official cause of death was overdose by a combination of cocaine, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole. In the months since his death, several of DJ AM’s friends and supporters have blamed his death on the trauma he suffered from the crash. Goldstein, allegedly got hooked on the drugs he took to relieve the pain of his burns.
His mother, as well as several friends and family members of Goldstein, have claimed that it was in great part the plane crash that led to the DJ’s relapse.
A trial against several companies involved in the crash is set for March 2, 2010, and will involve Columbia Metropolitan Airport, Learjet and Goodyear Tire.
