Matt Damon admits Jason Bourne is on hold

Published on November 13, 2009 at 3:23 PM

If you’re a fan of Matt Damon’s work — and who isn’t? — you may have to wait quite a while for your next fix — The script is stil not even half done;

“Personally, selfishly, we’d all really like to do it,” Matt, 39, told DNA. “But we’re really serious about getting the story and the script right.”

And considering his last outing as Jason in 2007′s ‘Bourne Ultimatum’ grossed $442-million worldwide, you can see why he’d care.

But Matt’s more diplomatic, of course;

“Everyone would say, ‘They should have quit after three’…And we’d feel that way too. But the only thing more disappointing than not having another one ready — for us and the fans — is to make one that isn’t any good.” he explained.

So when, you may ask, can expect a reprise? “Hopefully we’ll be shooting in 18-months or so,” Matt assured all the fans.

If you can’t wait that long you can catch Matt in the new Clint Eastwood-directed biopic, ‘Invictus,’ which stars Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela. It bows nationwide on December 11th…
