Usher court papers hint at ugly divorceAs we reported in June, Usher and his wife, Tameka Raymond had filed for divorce. And now the ex-couple have got their sad wish.

According to a report in today’s Daily News, the 27-month marriage finally expired on Wednesday when Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane issued a final decree in a courtroom in Georgia’s plush Fulton County.

Usher, 31, filed for divorce on June 12, claiming in the court documents that he and Tameka had lived apart since July of last year, and that there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” as the marriage was already “irretrievably broken.”

Tameka, however, disputed these claims; Court papers filed on June 29 show her telling the Judge that she had “every reason to believe the marriage was intact,” and that they’d been sleeping together only three weeks before.

Lawyers for the pair, who married in August of 2007 at a lavish French chateau outside Atlanta, are currently making no comment on the fine-print of the case, but one burning question is the fate of their sons;

Usher Raymond V, who’ll turn two-years old on November 26th, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, who is only 11-months, were originally on course to live with their dad when he filed the divorce, but no final custody deal was shown in the decree…So what happens now?

Once the dust settles they’re sure to get this worked out, and when more news emerges you’ll find updates here…
