Katt Williams arrested for burglary in home where he claims to be a guest
Comedian Katt Williams was arrested last night for allegedly breaking into a home in Georgia and stealing and trespassing. Katt’s lawyer Williams Briggs tells TMZ that he has been set up! And if he was, we have a winner for the most original way to get an unwelcome guest out of one’s home.
According to Briggs, he’s been staying at the producer’s home (the home he is accused of robbing), for nearly 3 weeks and was given full permission to be there while Katt is shooting a movie in Georgia. Briggs claims that Katt got into an argument with one of the producer’s (Barry Hankerson) employees who lives in the guest house, who then deviously called the cops and reported a fake burglary. I am finding it a bit hard to believe Katt, who I think is hilarious has turned to thievery. However it’s not the comedian’s first brush with the law. He’s had a couple of incidents carrying illegal weapons, including trying to sneak a gun onto an airplane. Well Katt, takes a fine mugshot (courtesy of TMZ), and I hope he’s still smiling when all this is over.
