Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris announce engagement

Jensen Ackles and his longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris are officially engaged, as her rep confirmed to JustJared. The 31-year-old Ackles perhaps best known for starring as Eric Brady in TV series “Days of Our Lives,” now stars in the CW’s Supernatural.  30-year-old Harris stars as Rachel Gatina in The CW’s One Tree Hill.

According to JustJared the two lovebirds have been dating for about three years but have been friends for nearly a decade and co-starred in the 2007 romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero. The couple made an appearance on Saturday (photo right), November 7 watching the horses race at the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Santa Anita Park in Los Angeles, where Danneel got a chance to flash her engagement ring.  They do make a very handsome couple.  No word yet on a wedding date.
