Chris Brown tells of regretting Rihanna assault

Following Rihanna’s self-serving schmooze on Good Morning America, tonight ex-boyfiend Chris Brown gets his turn to tell the nation what happened.
In MTV’s interview, due to be broadcast tonight, the 20-year old singer is asked what caused the assault. “Just anger. Yeah, anger. Young people, we do before we think.” he replies. “Only we know what went down in the car; It’s between us,” he explains. “But at the end of the day, I’m sorry for what I did.”
Facing his first test of the public’s forgiveness when he opens his “fan appreciation” tour on November. 14, Chris says he feels he let a lot of people down, especially the kids that look up to him, “My thoughts are all about, ‘Why did it happen?’ or, ‘What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?’…That’s what I’m asking myself.” he admits.
Arrested after a still unexplained altercation between him and Rihanna on February 8th, Chris clearly has major regrets, “I regret every second of it,” he recently told a New York radio show. “Of course you’re gonna have your opinions, but it’s not right to judge someone. People make mistakes all the time.”
With his court-mandated domestic violence course completed, Chris is sure this could not re-occur, “I’ve seen the pain people go through and I don’t want to inflict that anymore.” he told the show’s hosts.
Nervously resuming his derailed career, Chris just released a new single, “Crawl,” about a hopeful young man who is unlucky-in-love. The big question is, will his fans now forgive him and buy it?
Well,…will you?
