Mario Lopez Announced As This Year’s Miss America Host

Mario Lopez is back to host this year’s Miss America pageant, so anyone who cares should be thrilled.

Seriously, does anyone really watch these anymore? Haven’t we grown out of the camp and pomp of beauty pageants? I know I lost interest around the age of five, when I realized that there were more interesting things to watch, like slug racing, paint drying, or The View.

But, I suppose if anyone is able to add a little something spicy to the sight of carbon copy women walking in a straight line, it is Mario Lopez.

He will be proceeding over several regions that are coming back for the first time in 50 years, such as Miss District of Columbia, Miss Virgin Islands and Miss Puerto Rico.

The excitement is killing me.
