Kate Gosselin claims divorce hurting kids

In yet another self-serving interview designed to help win their oncoming divorce and get a show of her own, Kate Gosselin has done a sit-down with the Today show’s Natalie Morales to tell her [twisted] side of the story.
In the one-hour special, ‘Kate: Her Story’ which airs on TLC tonight, the 34-year old professional victim tells Morales that the strains of such a [deliberately] high-profile divorce is affecting the former couple’s eight children, causing them stress and even behavioral changes,” so Kate now claims. She also claims she’s now become isolated as former close friends have eagerly sold sordid tales to the tabloids.
“Very close, trusted people, who you swear would never cash you in…do that,” Kate told Morales. “When people leave your house and tell completely different stories, you tend not to trust them.” So who does she have on her side, Kate was asked? “A very small group of people,” Kate replied, once more indulging her famous impression of a chaste, blameless victim.
But through all the whining, self-pity and crocodile tears Kate found some grounds for humor, recalling how she told her own mother that having five kids was too much, “I’m famous for telling her, ‘Mom, five kids is too many, you lose something in the details,’ ” Kate told MSNBC’s Morales. “She reminded me of that when I ended up with eight.”
One major source of Kate’s alleged distress is her soon-to-be-ex husband, Jon. He’s said to have made ‘hurtful’ comments, stolen some money from a joint bank account and blocked the filming of her new ego trip show. On Sunday, Jon filmed an interview with Michael Jackson’s former spiritual adviser, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach to be used in the show.
“I apologize to Kate,” he told the Rabbi. “I’m sorry for doing what I did…I have to be accountable for my actions.” Apologies over, Jon then denied his affair with 22-year old Haley Glassman – which has become one of Kate’s favorite targets for self-pity and scorn – has now ended, “We’ve decided to just slow things down,” Jon told Boteach.

I don’t doubt that the high profile divorce has negatively effected the eight children’s behavior. They probably feel a lot of confusion, doubt and may even blame themselves at times for what has happened to their family. They will most likely need counseling when they are older.
