Ryan Seacrest Stalker Arrested Finally!

Published on October 31, 2009 at 8:55 AM

A judge granted “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest a temporary restraining order against a man arrested on suspicion of stalking the radio and television. That order needs to be switched from temporary to permanent soon though.

Uzomah, 25,who is 6′4″ and 200 lbs, is on probation for another incident involving Seacrest, sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years’ probation after attacking a member of Seacrest’s security detail outside a charity event last month.

Uzomah, who was wielding a three-inch folding knife, was caught outside Seacrest HQ on the E! campus just before 10 a.m. and was quickly handcuffed and detained by security guards before being handed off to Los Angeles police officers.

TMZ has reported that earlier this month Uzomah showed up at KIIS FM in Burbank, CA, looking for Ryan, likely not to shake his hand. Uzomah apparently didn’t know that Ryan did his radio show out of the E! offices in L.A. The Burbank police were called but no arrest was made.

Law enforcement sources say Ryan’s people began calling the Orange County D.A.’s office immediately after the KIIS incident, asking prosecutors to violate Uzomah’s probation and put in place a criminal protective order. Why they failed to do so, and why this man is not in jail now amazes me given he is on probation.
