Michael Caine shares secret of shedding tears on command

Every actor worries about portraying emotion on screen, but veteran British actor, Sir Michael Caine has no such concerns – he claims he can cry on command, just by reliving a painful memory.
Having made his film debut at age 17, Sir Michael now admits he is that most confusing of beings – a method actor. And this came in handy while shooting his next movie, the Lionsgate thriller, ‘Harry Brown.’ ‘There’s a scene where I have to burst into tears when I’m told my best friend is dead, and I do it. Realistically and truthfully,” he told the UK’s Daily Telegraph.
The double Oscar-winner also confessed he uses ‘triggers’ to cause emotions on screen, ”I have a particular sad moment in my life that I just think about and I can get tears instantly,” he admitted.
But the actor refused to reveal the specific memory involved, ”I have never told anyone, including my wife, so I am not telling you,” he said with a grin.
Despite having made more than 140 films in his enduring career, Sir Michael does get some free time, and on those rare days he heads straight for Google, ”I Google all day long because I’m an information freak. I believe that Google was invented for me personally.” he admits. But does he ever get tempted to Google himself, he was asked?
‘I did that once but I gave up. There were seven and a half million sites, and I went ‘Oops!’.”
You can see the great man at his best, yet again, when ‘Harry Brown’ opens on November 13.
