J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen coming back to Dallas?

Likely a ploy for publicity to gauge excitement for a redo, but Dallas stars Linda Gray, Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy have reportedly been approached to reprise their Sue Ellen and J.R. Ewing characters for a remake of the classic 1980s night-time soap. TV executives at Warner Bros. are reportedly considering making an updated version of Dallas and focusing the new show on the TV couple’s son, John Ross, and his cousin, Christopher, the adoptive son of J.R.’s brother Bobby played by Patrick Duffy and sister-in-law Pamela played by Victoria Principal. Christopher, devotees will remember, is the actual son of Sue Ellen’s sister, Kristin, the famed shooter of J. R.. No date has yet been set for its return, but it is believed it will air on U.S. cable network TNT.
