A Safari, A Chat With Nelson Mandela, And Some Charlize Theron With Tongue

Every once and awhile I read a celebrity story and I think “I would have done it, too”. This evening, I found myself thinking that very thing when I read about a woman who bid $140,000 for a South Africa trip after the stakes were raised, and a kiss was offered by one Charlize Theron.

Apparently, a safari, World Cup tickets, and a meet and greet with the legendary Nelson Mandela wasn’t enough to move the bid past the $35,000 mark. So out dear Charlize decided she would slip someone the tongue if they took it further.

“For f*** sake! You can do better,” she told the crowd.

“There is no way I am leaving here with Jeremy Piven getting a higher bid. I’ve got t**** for God’s sake.”

With the kiss on the table, the amount quickly jumped to $135,000. But it was the final bidder, a blond beauty in the audience, that won at $140,000.

The woman stormed the stage, and planted one on Charlize as the crowd counted to 20.

I bet it was totally worth it. BTW look for Charlize to soon be seen in action in the fourth installment of Mad Max, as director George Miller has roped her in to play the female lead.
