Avril Lavigne Officially Files for Divorce from Deryck Whibley

As we previously reported, after just three years of marriage, Avril Levigne has now officially pulled the plug on her much-troubled marriage to ‘Sum41′ lead singer, Deryck Whibley.

Divorce papers have now been filed by Avril, citing the universal “irreconcilable differences.”

A friend close to the soon-to-be-ex says that Deryck, 29 is now feeling ‘crushed.’ – both by the end of their love, and being locked out of their jointly-owned $9.5-million, 12,000 square-foot home in upscale Bel Air.  However, Earlier this month, Whibley was spotted getting close with model/designer Hanna Beth Merjos in Las Vegas, apparently to console himself.
