Speculation on Greg Norman and Chis Evert divorceYou may have read recently that golfer, Greg Norman and tennis star, Chris Evert’s marriage imploded? And now the sports world is buzzing with people all trying to figure out why??

Friends say one big reason was each other’s kids; Chris and her ex-husband, Olympic skier, Andy Mill, had three sons – Alex, 17, Nicky, aged 15, and Colton who’s 13-years old. Meanwhile, Greg had two children with ex, Laura Andrassy — Megan, 26, and Greg Jr., 23.

And just to add spice, Chris’s ex, Andy, is…or at least was…big friends with Greg.

“Greg got between Andy and his sons, which upset Chris,” a close source told People. “On one occasion, Andy flew from Aspen to Florida to be with them, but Greg took Nick away to his Colorado ranch, leaving Andy almost crying on the phone to his son.” they revealed. “Another time, Greg told Colton that he needed to be with him, instead of meeting his own father.“

Greg’s two children also hated the marriage and never liked Chris, “Greg and Chris both had big egos, they were both celebrities,” ex-wife, Laura told the scribes. “It wasn’t a good relationship between them.”

But it started so well – After a sunset ceremony in the Bahamas on June 28 of last year, Chris seemed in heaven. Her close friends, however, knew the marriage was doomed, “Chris was totally turned on by Greg’s celebrity, his looks and his bank account,” says one. “But they didn’t get to know each other. And both are narcissistic control freaks. In a celebrity marriage, only one person can be that.”

The pair never even had a shared home – Greg stayed in his mansion on Jupiter Island, while Chris was entrenched in her $2.8-million mansion in Boca Raton. They would then occasionally sleep at each other’s cribs.

According to Chris’s ex, Andy Mill, peace is once more restored, “Now Greg’s gone, we are all fine. I’m always here for the children, and Chris and I are friends.”

And in predictably simpering prose the pair’s reps would agree, “Chris and Greg will always be friends. and be supportive of each other’s family,” they purred.

…Sounds like game, set and match to the lawyers?
