Ben Affleck and Matt Damon bond is more than skin deep

If, like many others, you’ve wondered why Ben Affleck and Matt Damon work together so well, it seems the New England Historical Society have unearthed the cause – They’re related!
According to the inquisitive swots at the New England group, Ben and Jerry Matt, who joined forces to both write and co-star in their double-Oscar debut, 1997’s “Good Will Hunting.” are bona-fide tenth cousins…and once removed.
For reasons best left unclear, the intrepid researchers spent years combing through dusty old files, and it seems that 37-year old Ben and Matt, 39, are descendants of an industrious bricklayer named William Knowlton, who arrived in Boston from England in the mid-1630’s and settled in Ipswich, where he then plied his trade.
And the Huff Post now says Ben has even more famous folks in his family tree; such as 16 U.S. presidents [including Barack,] and the late Princess Diana.
So far the two actor’s reps have no word on this news, but this being Hollywood you can bet there’ll be some…
