Has Miley Cyrus really quit Twitter?

In an act that has generated more global publicity that almost anything she’s ever done for a camera, Miley Cyrus quit Twitter this week.

Without warning or explicable reason, the 17-year old singer and Disney alumnus has deleted her page, closed her account and bowed out of Twitter — apparently for good.

And her last tweet only shared a vague motive for such sudden removal — In it, she referred to Liam Hemsworth, her co-star in their upcoming movie, ‘The Last Song,’ who is also rumored to be her new beau. It read…

“Liam doesn’t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason.”

So Miley’s done Tweeting? That means her 1.1-million feathery fans only have her MySpace page, Facebook account, Vanity Fair spreads and 10,000 fan-blogs from which to get their next fix.

…Yeah, that’s a real problem??

In a show of unswerving devotion or intense gullibility, whichever your taste, fans have now organized a campaign to force her return, and People says “#mileycomeback” is now Twitter’s most popular topic.
