Britney Spears counts up to ‘3′

After five years with almost no addition to her catalog at all, Britney Spears is releasing a new compilation.
Reuters reports that the former Disney Channel performer has issued a new song, which with typically limited eloquence she chose to call, ‘3′ – and it deals indirectly with the subject of three-way encounters;
The simplistic lyrics include such forgettable gems as, “Three is a charm, Two is not the same; I don’t see the harm, So are you game?”…which, when combined with the rhythmic and well-tempered beat could get all six of her fans on the dance floor…But it might also give parents some fun in the deal;
Engineered and co-written by Swedish producer, Max Martin, the new song includes a line about, ‘Peter, Paul and Mary’ – a reference to the 1960’s American folk super-group, Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey and the late Mary Travers.
But since they broke up in 1970 and Brit wasn’t even born until 1981, it’s possible the girl has no clue who they are??
The single itself – which you can hear below – is merely a taster for Britney’s new album, ‘The Singles Collection,’ which debuts in stores on November 24. This will be Britney’s second compilation of recycled songs, and only her third album release in almost five years.
