Anna Faris confesses divorce dragged her down

Published on September 18, 2009 at 11:55 AM

A lot of stars find their careers in recession and descend into hard liquor and pills, never to be heard from again. Anna Faris, however, did not take that path.

After divorcing fellow actor Ben Indra in February of 2008, Anna admits her life hit the skids for a while and she found a new role as a 24/7 slob. “The next thing you know, I’m single and living in an apartment full of potato chips, mustard and tons of beer. I wore this grubby Garfield t-shirt and baggy jeans and I was drunk all the time.”

Charming image. But it doesn’t end there…

“I would go to bars alone, talk to guys and say things like, ‘What’s your story? You wanna go out?’ And if they turned me down, I’d ask, ‘So, what’s your friend like?’  the 32-year old upcoming Producer now freely admits. “It was a very selfish time, but also strangely liberating. I felt weirdly empowered.”

Given that the girl has a degree in Eng-Lit from Washington University, you’d expect slightly more, would you not?

But after what sounds like 12-months of looking like Larry the Cable Guy with a bra, Anna finally corrected her path. “I tend to be a serial monogamist,” the ‘Scary Movie’ alumnus recently told the Enquirer.

True to this trait, Anna recently exchanged rings and vows with another actor, Chris Pratt, on July 9th, and the two newlyweds have just finished shooting their first movie together, Universal’s upcoming comedy, ‘The Young Americans’ which you’ll find in the theaters from January 9th.
