Acting couple Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans have first child

Congratulations to Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd and his wife, English actress Alice Evans, who are now the proud parents of a little girl. Evans gave birth to Ella Betsi Evans Griffith at 2:16 A.M. on Sunday morning after a 40-hour labor. The baby weighed in at 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long according to US Weekly.

Ioan, 35, met Alice, 38, while filming 2002′s 102 Dalmations and they wed in the fall of 2007, and currently live in Los Angeles.

Gruffudd recently recognized here for playing Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four, got famous across the pond starring as Horatio Hornblower in Hornblower — the British made-for-TV films based on C.S. Forester’s novels. Evans has most recently been seen playing the recurring character of Eloise Hawking on Lost.
