Kate Gosselin offered $400,000 by Playboy

With their ratings now firmly entrenched in that round, washroom receptacle, it seems that the Gosselin’s will resort to the most brainless of ploys to try and score some new fans…And here comes the latest:

The Daily News is reporting that Kate has been offered $400,000 to pose nude for Playboy. But, so far at least, the lady is not in the mood to be nude, “Hugh sent her a letter, but Kate was horrified and threw it away,” says a source. “She didn’t think it was right because of the children.”

And Kate’s problems didn’t end there. Soon-to-be-ex hubby, Jon is now carving a second career as a TV talking-head and his latest performance was a conversation with Chris Cuomo on “Good Morning America,” yesterday in which he confirmed that the marriage was mostly a sham, “I took a lot of abuse from her. I was put down,” he told Chris.

But the 32-year old multiple-dad tried to play a strong defense by pointing the finger of blame at his now estranged wife, “She’ll call me almost a lame fish,” he recalled. “I’m taking care of the kids. She’s on book tours and doing all these things. She’s gone a week, comes back, showers, packs and leaves again. I’m standing there like, ‘Oh, okay…your Mom’s gone again.’”

And this petulant conflict  – performed with obvious, self-serving intent in the full glare of the press – is not over yet. A girlfriend says that Kate is now planning to exploit the law to extract a revenge, “She is upset over Jon’s ‘single guy’ behavior, and she’d leave him barefoot and homeless on the streets if she could,” says a girlfriend. “She’s prepared to do all she can to ensure she grabs most, if not all, of the millions involved.”

And you can bet they’ll make sure that we all get to watch.
