Tila Tequila tells tale that needs way more salt

With his partner now bravely enduring the career-building focus her allegations have brought, NFL star, Shawne Merriman has  issued a statement rebutting her claims.

Through his attorney, the San Diego Chargers’ linebacker made it clear he was trying to stop an ‘extremely inebriated’ Tila from leaving their home as he was sure she could do herself harm. But Tila denies this, and now claims she’s ‘allergic’ to drink. “It’s been well known for years – I can’t drink.” she tweeted over the weekend.

Shawne was taken into custody after the unproven assault and is still dormant in jail, facing charges of battery and false imprisonment.

According to the widespread reporting, like PopEater’s, that Tila’s tale has ‘accidentally” created, the pair were partying at a club and went back to Shawne’s apartment. Later, Tequila was ready to leave, and that’s when she claims Shawne “choked and physically restrained” her.

But Paramedics were called in, and no injuries were found, reported or even claimed at the time.

Speaking through his attorney, Shawne remembers that night, “I was concerned about her, given the intoxicated state she was in, and I encouraged her to stay until we got her a cab. It’s a tough situation when you think you’re doing the right thing. But I in no way caused her harm.”

The club in question was the ‘Stingaree’ in San Diego, and owner, James Brennan does not buy Tila’s claims. Several of his staff had complained of her behavior, which was made even worse by multiple shots of both Tequila and Vodka, “She wasn’t quite ‘falling down’ drunk,” he recalls. “But she was visibly intoxicated. It sounds like she’s far more allergic to the plain, simple truth.”
