Jade Goody’s boyfriend accused of teen rape

As we reported in March, British reality star Jade Goody married her long-time partner, Jack Tweed, just four weeks before her untimely death from cervical cancer at age 27.

Now the Huff Post is reporting that Police have arrested Jack, 22, on allegations of rape.

The former reality star was taken into custody early this morning after a woman in her mid-teens filed a complaint of sexual assault involving Jack and another man, which allegedly took place sometime on Friday at Jack’s East London home.

The unnamed accomplice has since been released on bail  A third man is also being questioned by officers, but  is facing no charges as yet.

This is not Jack’s first brush with the law — Just a month after Jade’s death in March he was arrested for assaulting a cab driver and jailed for three months. He was also jailed in September of 2008 for assaulting a 16-year old with a golf club.

He and Ms. Goody, a brash dental nurse who achieved nationwide fame as the star of the Brit Reality show, ‘Big Brother’ were married in February, after Doctors told Jade her cancer could no longer be treated and she should prepare for the end.

Her dignified passing made them both national icons and caused that whole country to redefine and debate the true meaning of fame.
