Oprah disses Chris Brown after unwise remarks

After Chris Brown made some less than flattering comments about her and her work in a discussion with People, Oprah Winfrey has wasted no time in responding to Chris…and it stings.

Oprah recently did a show on abuse, inspired by Chris’s run-in with Rihanna, and Chris wasn’t impressed. “I commend Oprah for addressing the problem,” the 20-year old R&B singer told People. “But it was a slap in my face. I did a lot for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been of more help and helped both of us out.’”

When the article ran, Oprah was righteously steamed. “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”

Polite and restrained though Oprah’s comeback might be, an insider who is familiar with Chris’s endorsement portfolio gave TMZ a telling review of his future career, “He’s toast,” was their pithy appraisal. “Whatever goodwill he had, he’s ruined it by saying that. And who goes up against Oprah?? It shows he doesn’t always think.”

Given the amount of self-serving publicity the assault back in February has since created, it’s highly unlikely that this will end there. Whoever fires next, we’ll keep you advised…
