With Michael Jackson now finally at rest, the future of the lavish Holmby Hills mansion in which he was living is now close to an equally peaceful and fitting solution. Christian Audigier, the muti-millionaire fashion designer, and a friend of the star is close to agreement on buying the home.

The 51-year old Frenchman told reporters he was shocked to hear of the death of his friend, “He was very skinny, but he was a dancer too,” Christian told the Associated Press. “He was very involved with the concert and was very happy to come back on stage. What happened was very sad.”

Valued at well over $30-million the mansion is currently owned by Christian’s business partner and the head of his company, Hubert Guez.  “I can have the house in under a month,” says Audigier. “I get the keys two-weeks from today.”

The renowned fashion designer has been unsuccessful in his plans to transform the home into a Michael Jackson museum, but now aims to open the house every year on the anniversary of Michael’s death, and organize tasteful exhibits and shows.

Few people in his native France would even notice this soft-spoken man if they passed on the street, but in LA he is feted by fans and adored by the stars. Among the fahionistas of Hollywood his tattoo-inspired stylings were an overnight smash and now hold Madonna, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Puff Diddy and Kanye West among many others in their inescapable spell.

He also creates the ‘Ed Hardy’ brand — a label much loved by Jon Gosselin of ‘Jon & Kate’ fame.

Christian’s European launch of his Fall fashion line kept him in Paris, so he missed Michael’s funeral. But this counselor of couture still mourns for his friend, “I miss him,” he said. “God bless him.”
