Keanu Reeves agrees to DNA test in paternity case
After some legal wrangling,Keanu Reeves has agreed to provide DNA samples to resolve the parentage claims of a Canadian woman who claims the ‘Matrix’ icon is the father of at least one of her four children.
Through his attorney, Keanu, 45, confirmed to a court session in Barrie, a small town sixty miles north of Toronto, that the test will proceed, “There will be a DNA test done within the next week,” Reeves’ attorney Lorne Wolfson assure the Judge presiding over this case.
According to Digital Spy, documents filed with the court show the woman is asking $150,000 a month in child support, backdated to June 1988. And despite having provided no evidence the two had been married she is also asking for $3-million a month in spousal support, backdated to November of 2006.
Keanu’s rep, Cheryl Maisel, has insisted the star does not know the 46-year-old woman. Both parties are due back in court on October 16, at which time it’s believed the case will be solved.
