Halle Berry expecting second child

In a story that serves as welcome relief after yesterday’s news about baby 19, it’s just been confirmed that Halle Berry is expecting again.

Halle and her partner, the model, Gabriel Aubry had endured the crushing defeat of more than 30 negative pregnancy tests before they achieved their first child, Nahla, in 2008. And by the wonders of science they’ve now done it again.

“Halle is overjoyed,” a close friend tells Life&Style magazine. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro. This time, they chose artificial insemination.” Now 43, some might wonder if Halle has the time or career to become a new mom, but the friend is quite firm on that point. “She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again. She wasn’t sure if they’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!”

The couple will welcome the child sometime in March, making a happy quartet at their home in Quebec. Halle herself is not talking right now, and a rep for the actress did not return calls.
